WEST ALLIS -- Police say the man found dead early Monday morning on a West Allis street was stabbed to death by his brother.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Benjamin Eldridge. Earlier this week, police arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Eldridge -- the victim's brother -- for his death.
Police say the brothers were traveling together in a vehicle in the 6700 block of W. Beloit Road when an altercation ensued and Jonathan stabbed Benjamin multiple times. Benjamin exited the vehicle and his body was discovered on Monday around 2:30 a.m. -- lying in the roadway in the 6700 block of W. Lincoln Avenue in West Allis.
The incident was reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office and Jonathan Eldridge has been charged with 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide – Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
Police say the incident was isolated -- and there was never any danger to the public.
