WEST ALLIS — Pączki Day is upon us! While we eagerly await the exciting day with delicious treats, bakeries like Aggie's Bakery and Cake Shop in West Allis, is working around the clock to get ready for the big day.

"It's our biggest day of the year, actually. We do more sales than on Christmas or on Easter," Rachel Schmidbauer, owner of Aggie's Bakery said.

The West Allis shop expects to sell around 13,000 pączki on Fat Tuesday.

"So we’re a couple thousand over from last year, and every year we continue to grow," she said.

With that many orders, that means the crew at Aggie's is working long hours ahead of Fat Tuesday to make sure everything runs smoothly.

"So we started at two in the morning today (Monday), and we started at three in the morning (Sunday), and we go until all the pre-orders for the next day are done. So tonight we will be here until about 11 or 12, and then we will be back here by 5:00 a.m.," Schmidbauer said.

If you are trying to pick up a box of pączki for your coworkers tomorrow, you may end up waiting in a big line. Schmidbauer said that the busiest time will be from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
