RACINE, Wis. — Despite temperatures in the 80s, it is beginning to look a lot like Halloween and Christmas around Milwaukee and Racine Counties. It's a fact that is shocking to some people.

"I still like summer. I'm not ready for fall," said June Glenwood outside of Metro Market in Wauwatosa.

Others say bring it on.

"I'm done with this summer weather. I can't wait for jeans and flannels," said Jennifer Cornell who was walking by Metro Market.

Metro Market and Pick 'n Save stores have the answer for the fall lovers. They have harvest decorations out, which includes these jack-o-laterns.

"I think it's okay," said Cornell.

"Right now, we are in full bloom for Halloween because people are already looking," said Kris Reisdorf, owner of Milaeger's.

In Racine, Milaegers doesn't just have Halloween decor. We found Christmas trees, too that went up last week.

"We do Christmas year-round in many aspects," said Reisdorf.

The owner says it's what their customers want and she isn't wrong. The National Retail Federation found nearly 12% of consumers start Christmas shopping before September, so that means now or even earlier in the summer.
