MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are officially heading into the post season. The team will square off against the Washington Nationals in the Wild Card Game on Tuesday, which is considered single elimination.

The team had a shot at the division title, but after Sunday's 13-inning loss against the Rockies and the Cardinals' win-- they ended up two short.

All things considered, fans say they are proud of the season.

"It's all about Milwaukee because we are the underdogs, baby," said Erica Allemang-Reinke.

Fans marveled at the amazing end to the season so far.

"I'm impressed," said John Strohbusch. "I think it was unbelievable that we kind of followed up last year with the successful season when when we had so much success last year."

"And then you had your MVP go down two weeks ago and everybody kind of stepped up, the offense, the defense," said Jeff Voss.

The Brew Crew went 20 and 7 throughout the month of September.

"September, that was ridiculous, just to go from no chance to making the playoffs, to they're in the playoffs," said Kurt Schoettler. "So it's great."

Fans were not too disappointed about not clinching the division.

"It's a little disappointing, but you can't be mad at the season, especially with your best player going down," said Steve Peterson.

Now all the attention is on Tuesday's game in Washington.

"We are going to win on Tuesday," said Cheryl Markiewicz. "I'm not going to think we're going to win on Tuesday. We are going to win on Tuesday."
