WAUKESHA — The Waukesha Police Department is working to determine the circumstances behind a train that struck a pedestrian late Sunday.
Officers were dispatched to Whiterock Ave and Mooreland Blvd in Waukesha before 9:00 p.m. Sunday for reports of a crash.
We are currently working on a serious train v. pedestrian incident on the Moreland bridge. Whiterock Ave and Mooreland Blvd are blocked by the train as well as Whiterock Ave and Perkins St. Please use alternative routes while we continue to investigate this incident. Update in AM

Authorities have closed Whiterock Ave and Perkins Street while investigating. Police are encouraging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
