KENOSHA — The Kenosha County Parks Department is encouraging residents to avoid the beach after a poor water quality sample was collected Thursday morning.
Officials announced the precaution in a Facebook post Thursday after a sample collected at Silver Lake Park Beach raised concerns about the water quality.
"The park and beach itself remain open, but swimming is discouraged until the water quality improves," the department said.
