RACINE — Be careful when you buy concert or sports tickets. Some of those low prices seem too good to be true because they are too good to be true.
A Racine woman reached out to our Call 4 Action office to share the sticker shock she felt after buying Hamilton tickets online.
Maggie Gruenwald says she still can't fathom how her $370 tickets ballooned to nearly $500 after service fees. She reached out to TODAY'S TMJ4 to warn others about exorbitant service fees and to price shop before pressing 'submit.'
"I never thought to go back and cancel it, and I probably should have," Gruenwald said.
Gruenwald's advice for others who may see big fees at checkout: "Know what you're doing, think it through, and say 'Is this what i really want?'"
