WEST BEND — The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department has suspended releasing names of businesses with employees who tested positive pending a lawsuitagainst Gov. Tony Evers' administration.
Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce along with the Muskego and New Berlin chambers of commerce filed the lawsuit in Waukesha County last Thursday.
They are demanding a judge block Evers' administration from releasing the names of more than 1,000 businesses with employees who have tested positive for COVID-19.
Waukesha County Judge Lloyd V. Carter then announced an injunction on the release of the information amid the lawsuit.
On Monday, the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department said that it will not release the names of such businesses in its counties due to the pending lawsuit and the injunction.
