MILWAUKEE -- Wisconsin Walmart associates will be thrilled to hear that they will be receiving over $4.33 million dollars in bonuses for the second quarter, following their best performance in 10 years.

“At Walmart, we believe in investing in our associates and providing them with opportunities to grow personally and professionally,” said Todd Peterson, Walmart regional general manager in Wisconsin in a press release. “Our success as a company is made possible through our associates, and we’re honored to reward their outstanding work with more than $4.3 million in bonuses."

In Milwaukee, hourly associates earned more than $979,000 in bonuses.

Walmart has been doing a lot to make their employees happy, including increasing wage for hourly employees to $11 an hour, expanding maternity and parental leave benefits and a new education benefit for associates trying to earn a college degree.
