MILWAUKEE — Ee Lee was found unresponsive in Washington Park on Sept. 16 and was later declared dead. Now, the Hmong American Women’s Association (HAWA) is hosting a vigil to honor her.

The vigil will take place Thursday at 5 p.m. and Washington Park.

The investigation is still ongoing as to the circumstances leading up to Lee's death, but officials say she was assaulted which eventually led to her death.

HAWA is working closely with Lee’s family on this case and is providing on-going advocacy and support.
