MADISON — Another astronomical event caught on camera!
A Madison camera picked up footage of a meteor falling from the sky on Saturday.
This week, there is a chance Wisconsinites will see even more meteors falling from the sky according to the American Meteor Society. The moon will reach a new phase as well, causing it to be invisible at night.
For those of us viewing the meteor showers from the northern hemisphere, we can expect to see near four meteor's an hour this week. This number may vary depending on personal light, motion perception and weather in your area.
Earlier this month a Milwaukee County Transit System camera also picked up footage of a meteor falling.
