Victims identified in Girl Scout hit-and-run crash

LAKE HALLIE -- The Girl Scouts of America are requesting privacy on behalf of the four people killed Saturday in Chippewa Falls.

Authorities identified the victims as nine-year-old Jayna Kelley, 10-year-old Autumn Helgeson, 10-year-old Halee Hickle, and Halee's mother Sara jo Schneider.

Another 10-year-old girl remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Suspect Colten Treu is facing charges including homicide while intoxicated and hit-and-run.

Police believe he was "huffing," which is using inhalants to get high.

In a statement, the Girl Scouts of America said, quote, "Our hearts are broken for the girls and families of the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes."
