WAUKESHA — Vice President Mike Pence stopped in Waukesha Tuesday, making a big push for President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign. It came just three weeks before the election and as the state remains in the spotlight for high coronavirus cases.
Pence was fired up on another trip to the Badger State during the home stretch to the presidential election.
“It’s on everybody, three weeks from today and the road to victory goes right through Wisconsin,” Pence said.
The importance of winning Wisconsin was on top of mind, but with the pandemic lingering in the background as the state sees some of the highest cases in the country.
“I’m proud to report we are on track to have the first safe and effective coronavirus vaccine before the end of this year,” Pence said.

The head of the White House Coronavirus Task Force arrived at Weldall Manufacturing, taking off a face mask as he ran to the stage.
He said President Trump and First Lady Melania are doing great, and took a moment to acknowledge first responders.
“You are heroes all,” Pence said.
The majority of the crowd was not wearing masks, all of them with their own reasons.
“If I get it, I’m going to get it, I believe in herd immunity,” Holly Juech of Rubicon said.
“If there were to be a picture that was spread around and we weren’t wearing one, we would probably be forced to quarantine,” Bryce Spaulding of Racine said.
The VP also talked about what President Trump has achieved on the economy, jobs, law and order, and the current situation with the Supreme Court.
He hit all the topics, targeting their base, in hopes to strengthen their momentum with Election Day just three weeks away.
“You need to vote Wisconsin, vote for four more years of President Trump in the White House,” Pence said. “Our president has never stopped fighting to keep the promises that he made to the people of Wisconsin. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.”
President Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Janesville this coming Saturday.
The administration has made battleground Wisconsin a priority in the election, which Trump won by a small margin in the 2016 election. President Trump, VP Pence, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have all made visits to Wisconsin in the last few months.
