Former Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Milwaukee's Riverside Theater on February 11, an extension of his American Promise Tour.

Biden has extended his tour to go into 2018 and to include 8 additional stops. The Riverside Theater is the second to last stop. The American Promise Tour features his memoir, Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose. The memoir chronicles Biden's life and career, highlighting 2015, a particularly difficult year.

While handling his responsibilities in office, Biden's son Beau was battling brain cancer. Biden shares the highs and lows he experienced while working through the difficult time in his book and on the tour. Biden felt led to extend his tour after hearing stories of others fighting battles.

“I have been incredibly touched by countless stories of resilience and hope that so many people have shared with me - stories of enormous loss, and yet, in defiance of that loss, they get up every morning and summon the strength to live a life of purpose. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to continue this tour and hear from so many more people,” says Vice President Biden.

In the American Promise Tour, Biden shares key moments in his career, including life-altering choices and tools that helped him persevere. Several guest moderators have appeared on the tour, including big names like Stephen Colbert and Hamilton's Leslie Odom, Jr.
