MADISON, Wis.--The University of Wisconsin Madison fraternity, Kappa Sigma, was suspended on Thursday after throwing a TV off the roof and barely missing a woman walking below.

Instagram videos captured the incident which occurred over the weekend of June 30, according to WISC-TV.

The video of the falling TV is captioned, "WARNING: Stay alert for potentially dangerous objects being thrown off the roof."

The interim suspension prevents the fraternity from holding events, reserving space or enjoying other privileges of student organization status according to a release from UW-Madison.

The Kappa Sigma national office terminated the charter of the chapter on Tuesday.

"This is an extremely serious situation and we support the actions of the national Kappa Sigma headquarters as we move ahead with the university response to this incident, " said incoming interim Dean of Students Argyle Wade.

University officials suspect that the investigation into the incident will take the duration of the summer. They will release a statement of their findings following the investigation.
