U.S. Attorney General: Surge of resources coming to address crime in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — A press conference announced a new initiative to reduce violent crime in Milwaukee.

This new initiative involves a surge of law enforcement resources in order to address persistent violent crime in Milwaukee and several other cities.

Attorney Gen. William Barr is said to announce the new initiative Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and following his announcement, United States Attorney Matthew D. Krueger and Milwaukee Police Department Inspector Dan Thompson will address the Milwaukee aspect of the initiative.
