Two Wisconsin Salvation Army chaplains will be deployed Saturday to aid Nebraska flooding victims.
Nebraska is experiencing some of the state's worst flooding in half a century. Chaplains Marcine Spoke and Carol Knox will be responsible for providing emotional and spiritual care to those affected by heavy flooding in the region.
As a whole, The Salvation Army is set to enter its third week of flood relief work in the region. Service totals through March 28 include:
- 20,000 meals served
- 23,200 drinks served
- 18,300 snacks served
- 11,600 other items delivered (including flood-cleanup kits)
- 9,750 volunteer hours worked
