Two Wisconsin Salvation Army chaplains to aid Nebraska in flood relief

Two Wisconsin Salvation Army chaplains will be deployed Saturday to aid Nebraska flooding victims.

Nebraska is experiencing some of the state's worst flooding in half a century. Chaplains Marcine Spoke and Carol Knox will be responsible for providing emotional and spiritual care to those affected by heavy flooding in the region.


As a whole, The Salvation Army is set to enter its third week of flood relief work in the region. Service totals through March 28 include:

  • 20,000 meals served
  • 23,200 drinks served
  • 18,300 snacks served
  • 11,600 other items delivered (including flood-cleanup kits)
  • 9,750 volunteer hours worked
