Two people have died after a crash on STH 18 Friday night.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on STH 18 at Hope Lake Road.
According to witness statements, a semi-truck was driving westbound when it began to lose control. A van traveling eastbound then struck the semi, resulting in the death of the two individuals inside the vehicle.
The driver of the semi truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation team is continuing the investigation into the crash.
