MILWAUKEE — Two men were shot in the 1300 block of N. 40th St. on Saturday, potentially because of a drug dispute, according to police.
At approximately 5:43 p.m., Milwaukee police responded to a report of a double shooting at an apartment complex.
When police arrived, they found a 43-year-old male with a fatal gunshot wound, and a 40-year-old male who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The 43-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene, and the 40-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to police, the preliminary investigation shows the shooting may have been a result of a drug dispute. Police are working to identify the suspects.
