Police are investigating two New Year's Day shootings that left a 30-year-old and a 37-year-old dead.
According to Milwaukee police, the first happened near 5th and Keefe just after 2:30 a.m. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called to the scene where officers found a 30-year-old male suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
The victim died at the scene, while a 40-year-old man and 30-year-old woman sustained serious wounds as well, and are currently in critical condition.
Police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting.
Hours later, a crash near S. 10th Street and Greenfield Avenue around 4:20 a.m. led to a deadly shooting, police say.
Following the crash, several people began arguing which further escalated with a suspect grabbing a firearm and shooting and killing a 30-year-old man.
