MILWAUKEE -- We are celebrating a huge milestone for TODAY'S TMJ4. Our station turned exactly 70 years old today.

This made us the first broadcast television news station in the state of Wisconsin on December 3, 1947.

Memories of us going on air come back to George Kasdorf. He worked for TODAY'S TMJ4 two weeks before we ever went on air.

As an engineer, he saw the endless rehearsals.

"They were kinda nervous, I guess we were kinda nervous to get everything right," explained Kasdorf.

He tells us his favorite remote was being at the 1957 World Series, where it was the Then-Milwaukee Braves versus the New York Yankees.

Stay with TODAYS TMJ4 as we look back at our 70 year legacy all month long.
