MILWAUKEE — After being put on pause since March 19 due to the coronavirus, metered and timed parking rules are going back into effect in Milwaukee starting June 15.
The city stopped issuing citations for timed parking violations to accommodate for all those staying at home due the coronavirus. However, the Department of Public Works said that since more businesses are beginning to reopen, the need for parking turnover has increased.
All timed and metered parking areas will be enforced again starting June 15.
Although, alternate side-parking and overnight parking rules will not be enforced until a later date the DPW said.
