On Sunday evening, a male suspect stole two iPads from the Target on Bluemound Road in Brookfield, according to Brookfield Police.
The suspect went to the electronics department and requested two iPad Pros. A store associate walked the items to the front registers at the suspect's request, after he claimed his grandmother was up front waiting.
The suspect then argued with a cashier while checking out, claiming they were exchanged items and refused to pay for them again. The cashier became nervous and allowed the suspect to walk away without purchasing the iPads.
The suspect attempted a similar theft at the West Allis and West Milwaukee locations earlier that day unsuccessfully.
The suspect is described as a black male, late 20s to early 30s, slender, short curly hair, light facial hair and missing teeth. He was last seen wearing a button-up blue and red plaid shirt with jeans and left the area in a newer model of a silver SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition.
