The father of a woman allegedly stabbed to death by her estranged boyfriend says his daughter didn’t have to die.

James Wilson says his daughter was killed by Ramone Jones on Feb. 5, just days after he was released from jail on bail for another domestic violence incident.

Milwaukee Police arrested Ramone Jones on Jan. 30 after a criminal complaint says he came to Jamie Wilson’s home and threatened to shoot her and her 11-year-old daughter.

The complaint says he threatened to kill everyone at the home if they told police he had a gun. The gun was later found in a hallway vent.

Seventy-two hours after Jones was arrested, he was freed on $1,000 bond according to the family. Milwaukee Police also confirm he was out on bail at the time of an alleged second incident.

On Feb. 5, the criminal complaint alleges that Jones returned to the home of his ex-girlfriend shot and injured her friend, and stabbed her in the garage in front of her 11 year old daughter.

"I went downtown to meet with the police department and say hey you can't let this guy out of jail, this guy is dangerous he’s going to hurt my daughter… well 72 hours later my daughter was dead," James Wilson said.
