The Killers performed their biggest hits to a packed Fiserv Forum on the arena's opening concert. The night came with some major surprises, including bringing a fan on stage to perform, as well as playing an iconic Milwaukee song.
The band decided to play a rendition of the theme song to 'Laverne & Shirley' which was set in Milwaukee. They also invited Milwaukee-based Violent Femmes back on stage to join them in the performance.
The show, which was a spinoff of 'Happy Days' focused on two women working as bottle-cappers in Milwaukee at the fictionalized Shotz Brewery. The show ran for eight seasons from 1976-1983.
The theme song, "Making Our Dreams Come True", was originally recorded by Cyndi Grecco, but The Killers performed the song admirably.
After they finished, streamers went off and the band was greeted with applause from those in attendance.
