WISCONSIN — If your apple pie is the best of the bunch, TV producers want to hear from you.

"The Great American Baking Show" is now looking for amateur bakers from Wisconsin and the surrounding area. The producers of "The Great British Bake Off" are once again looking for competitors for the U.S. spin-off of their UK phenomenon.

If you're interested, click here to apply. Those chosen will travel to England to compete in the famous "Bake Off" tent.

To be selected, bakers must be at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident. You can't have completed any formal or professional culinary, pastry, or baking training (unless it was more than ten years ago), and can never have worked as a full-time baker, cook, or pastry chef (nor can baking be a main source of income).

"The Great American Baking Show is seeking passion for baking as well as talent," said Casting Producer, Matthew Nakamura, "Not only do we want to know what applicants have mastered, but also the areas in which they need more experience."

Potential competitors are also asked to attach a photo of themselves, pictures of their bakes, and a short 1-2-minute video describing themselves, their passion for baking, and why they would be a great candidate for the show. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 25th, 2020.

Application and a full list of eligibility requirements are available here.
