The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is making sure customers can avoid the DMV as much as possible with a new online service to replace lost license plate stickers.
The new service will allow customers to request a sticker online with their vehicle identification number. The sticker will be mailed the following day.
This enhancement will hopefully free DMV Customer Service from the 29,000 calls and 18,000 email requests to replace lost license stickers they receive yearly.
The sticker service follows other online expansions from the DMV like eNotify electronic renewal reminders.
"With so many online services, most Wisconsinites only need to visit a DMV once every eight years to renew their driver license," said Wisconsin DMV Manager Rhonda Alley.
