MILWAUKEE — Given that it's National Cheese Curd Day, it's only fitting a Milwaukee-based brewery is taking some creative liberties with the Wisconsin staple.
"Rainbow unicorn sparkle. Pumpkin spice with caramel sauce. Pizza with marinara. And spicy with ranch," Kristin Hueneke, the executive chef with Lakefront Brewery said.

For one day only, these experimental cheese curds, along with a few special sandwiches (like a grilled cheese cheese curd sandwich), are on sale.
You might think a pumpkin spice curd is just for novelty's sake, but those who got it said it was actually pretty good.
"I thought they were going to be weird, and they ended up being really delicious," Lindsey Hillesland, a cheese curd lover.
