Taxi driver robbed at knife-point in broad daylight near Potawatomi

MILWAUKEE — An American United taxi driver was robbed at knife-point just after 9:00 a.m. Friday morning in the 1700 block of W. Canal Street, according to Milwaukee police.

The driver picked up the suspect and was instructed to drop them off near Potawatomi Bingo and Casino. They refused to pay their fare and proceeded to pull a knife out and rob the driver of his wallet containing $50 in cash and his IDs.

The suspect fled on foot south to the 16th Street bridge.
