WAUKESHA COUNTY — It does seem like the Holiday season creeps up on us sooner and sooner each year, but no one will criticize a home in Lake Country for already being fully decked out for Christmas.

The brand-new build from Victory Homes in Delafield is decorated floor to ceiling, as it serves as this year’s Christmas Fantasy House. The annual event raises money for Ronald McDonald House.

“I'm always overwhelmed when I see how this committee comes together,” said Ann Petrie, President & CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin. “They find the decorators, and they transform this already beautiful house into something magical for the holidays all to benefit the families that we serve at Ronald McDonald House.”

It’s a new house every year that opens for tours the better part of a week in early November. In 27 years, the event has raised more than $3 million for Ronald McDonald House, and they can use every penny.

“We're one of the largest Ronald McDonald Houses in the Country,” Petrie explained. “We have 70 rooms. We expanded and doubled our house 5 years ago. Unfortunately, now we're full again. So, it's a time where, we want to serve every family who needs us.”

Proceeds from tickets, craft sales, raffle and auction items will all benefit RMH. They hope to raise more than $100,000 again this year.

“It does give you the warm and fuzzies, and we're happy to be a part of it,” said long time committee member Connie Walters. “It's been incredible to see this all come together. The transformation. It's wonderful. We have about 20 or so rooms that have been decorated by area retailers who come in and do their magic with everything Christmas.
