WAUWATOSA — A substitute teacher was charged with child abuse after placing a 12-year-old student in a choke hold in June at Whitman Middle School in Wauwatosa.
Glen Fink, 68, of Brookfield was charged with a Class I felony physical abuse of a child after an incident in which a witness saw Fink place a child in a headlock/choke hold, then twist the child's arm behind his back.
A second witness overheard Fink tell the child, "there is no one here to see it," according to the criminal complaint.
If convicted, Fink faces more than $10,000 in fines and up to 3 years, 6 months in prison.
