WINDSOR -- It took road spikes, but eventually Wisconsin State Troopers were able to stop a car traveling at 119 MPH.

According to our partners at WISC-TV, the U.S. Marshals Office reached out to the Wisconsin State Patrol that a wanted man out of Maryland was in their area at 3:05 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers were warned that the man would be armed and would likely have drugs on him.

Once located, the chase began and the man reached a speed of 119 MPH, using shoulders to pass through oncoming traffic.

Finally, a spike strip caused him to blow a tire just south of River Rd. in Windsor.

The man cooperated and was arrested.
