A fuel or oil spill on Interstate 41 southbound near the Fond du Lac/Dodge County line has made the interstate extremely slippery, according to the Fond du Lac Sheriff's Office.
However, as of 10:15 a.m., the Sheriff's office reports that all traffic flow is back to normal.
The Sheriff's Office reported multiple vehicles ended up in ditches because of the slippery conditions. As of 10:15 a.m., all of those vehicles have been removed.
The Fond du Lac Highway Department has finished spreading sand on the interstate. The sand, along with the rain ending, has significantly improved driving conditions, the Sheriff's Office says.
The source of the spill is still unknown.
