MILWAUKEE — A popular summer beer garden in Milwaukee is reopening for the winter with heated chalets on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Customers can now reserve a 90-minute timeslot for a chalet in the garden. Chalets can seat up to six people from the same household, or two people from different households.
"We know that families want to get outside and enjoy the parks no matter the weather, and a winter beer garden has been a popular request for quite a while,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley.“With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise in Milwaukee County, however, it was essential that we find a way to operate for our staff and guests, and these chalets provide a unique and safe way to enjoy Lake Michigan views, and a meal, in the winter."
Reservations are $75 for $90 minutes and includes a $50 credit for food and beverages.
You can reserve a chalet daily except Dec. 24 and 25.
The winter menu features a number of dishes including Belgian waffles, truffle mac and cheese, and a Friday night special of slow-roasted prime rib.
