Three South Milwaukee brothers have been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting children for years.

According to a criminal complaint, Elijah Keene, 27, James Keene, 29, and Josiah Keene, 20, are facing numerous counts related to the sexual assault of children.

Their father, 62-year-old Brian Keene, is also charged with eight counts related to neglecting to act despite knowing about the assaults.

Police described the family's home as very dirty with little to no heat and the victims' clothes smelling like they hadn't been washed in months.

Elijah admitted to assaulting one child for as long as six years, describing himself as "addicted" at one point.

One of the children said the assaults had been going on "since she was in diapers."

Many of the children described the three suspects taking them to a basement and touching them inappropriately or forcing them to perform sexual acts multiple times a week.

The father admitted to knowing "something was likely going on" when the boys were teenagers, attributing it to their "raging hormones."

Elijah faces five counts, James faces two and Josiah faces one.
