EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is wanting to remind motorists to slow down and turn on headlights when traveling in winter weather following a multi-vehicle crash shut down I-94 near Eau Claire for hours Thursday morning.
Only minor injuries were reported in the crash caused by slick roads around 9:45 a.m.
The multi-vehicle crash caused a 20-mile stretch of intestate to close in both directions near mile-marker 81 in Eau Claire County, according to the DOT.
As of 4:00 p.m., I-94 is back open in both directions.
