1-4" of snow fell from Milwaukee to Madison and southward, much of it melted on roads and pavement so no shoveling needed. Skies are clearing behind the fresh snowfall allowing temperatures to fall below freezing away from Lake Michigan and close to freezing near the shore. After a crisp start, Sunday will be mostly sunny with cool temperatures near 50 degrees.
A few more clouds roll in during the evening hours with rain showers possible overnight and into Monday morning. Rain will wrap up by midday on Monday with a good quarter of an inch or more of rain with highs stuck in the 40s. Tuesday starts dry but rain returns by the afternoon and continues into Wednesday morning with highs in the 40s on Tuesday and 50s on Wednesday. Thursday will be a bit warmer but rain chances remain in the forecast. The driest period looks to be Friday through Saturday at the moment with highs in the mid-50s.
