Over 150 sites around Milwaukee County will participate in Doors Open Milwaukee, an annual event run by Historic Milwaukee Inc.
Each year Doors Open Milwaukee adds new sites and highlights different neighborhoods. According to our news partner Milwaukee Business Journal, 31 new sites will be added, bringing this year's total to 171.
This year’s spotlight district will be the near west neighborhood; however, a large portion of Doors Open Milwaukee sites are in the downtown and east side neighborhoods, areas that are easily accessible by public transportation.
Participating sites will offer visitors something different — everything from guided tours to exhibits.
Doors Open Milwaukee will take place on Sept. 28-29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here to see where participating sites are located.
