MILWAUKEE COUNTY — All southbound lanes on I-894 from Oklahoma Avenue have reopened after being closed for several hours due to a shots fired investigation, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
Video from the freeway showed dozens of police officers out on the closed road with flashlights, looking for suspects, or evidence.
Meanwhile, New Berlin residents received an emergency alertFriday evening, urging them to shelter in place as police look for "possibly armed subjects."
It remains unclear if this is connected to the Mayfair Mall shooting.
