Shorewood Police: Suspect pulls gun on Metro Market loss prevention officer during attempted robbery

SHOREWOOD -- Shorewood Police helped stop an attempted armed robbery in progress on Sunday at the Metro Market on Oakland Avenue.

According to police, around 10 p.m, a loss prevention officer got into a physical altercation with a 29-year-old man

The suspect had a concealed handgun on him -- which he proceeded to pull-out and point at the officer.

No injuries were reported and the suspect is in custody and facing criminal charges. 

This situation is under investigation.
