A teen killed in a Dane County crash Sunday morning has been identified as a student at Shorewood High School.
According to a statement sent out to parents Monday morning, 17-year-old Megan Frieseke died in a multi-car crash near Cottage Grove. Three others in the vehicle were injured in the crash including Frieseke's sister Emily, who is still being treated at a UW-Madison hospital.
The two other passengers, a 23-year-old man from Shorewood and a 23-year-old woman from Manitowoc, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The school will offer counselors and psychologists throughout the week to help students through the tragic loss. They also sent out resources to parents.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said three cars were involved in the head-on collision when two cars traveling westbound lost control.
