A Milwaukee woman says six years before a man was charged with raping three women, he sexually assaulted her. Now she's fighting to make sure he gets the maximum time in jail.
Jonathan Brown is facing charges, accused of raping three women earlier this month. One of them, just 17-years-old, was walking home after buying her mother a birthday card and flowers near Good Hope Road and 76th Street. Another was a poll worker on her way to work on Election Day.
But before those alleged assaults there was another woman who Brown attacked when he was just 15-years-old.
The woman, we are calling Jessica because she does not want her identity known, was scrolling through social media this week when she saw Brown's face on a mugshot.
"I just let out this shriek," Jessica said. "I'm like that's him."
Jessica asked not be identified because she was a victim of Brown's 6 years ago. She said she was working in social services with one of his family members when he lured her to his home.
"I get a call from Jonathon Brown's household," Jessica said.
She said he told her his family member was in trouble and needed to talk. When Jessica got there, she said Brown was waiting.
"Before I knew it he attacked me from behind," Jessica said. "Immediately I began to fight him off me."
Jessica eventually got loose but Brown was standing in front of the door, his pants down and he was touching himself. She said she yelled at him, grabbed her keys and ran off.
"I ran out the door, called 911, the police arrived and they searched the house," Jessica said.
Jessica said police never found the family member Brown told her was there. She said the fact he plotted her attack made her worried for his eventual release.
"I wrote a statement to the courts stating he's a danger to the community at the age of 15," Jessica said.
Brown was found guilty of 4th-degree sexual assault as a juvenile and given a year of probation. She hopes the courts listen to her plea now.
"I think Jonathon needs to be gone for a very long time," Jessica said.
Jessica has offered to testify in this newest case. She now privately volunteers with sexual assault victims.
