BROOKFIELD — The same Sendik's you've always loved is getting a facelift. The Corners of Brookfield location is undergoing a $5 million renovation and is slated for a mid-October grand opening, according to a release.

The "reimagined, experiential grocery store" will offer new services, expanded selections and greater convenience, by expanding to the main level of The Corners.

The Town of Brookfield store will expand vertically and add 7,000 sq. ft. for their Sendik's Home store on the main shopping level. The store will have an extensive floral shop, more clothing options and an in-store dressing room. They will also carry a variety of kitchen products from big brands like LeCrueset, Staub, All Clad, Zwillings-Henckels and more.

In addition to the home store and expanded grocery store, the renovation includes a bistro area that will bring another dining option to the town center. The bistro will seat 25 guests and offer wines by the glass, local craft beers on tap, and a menu of shareable small plates and appetizers. A grill station will give guests the opportunity to order any of Sendik's freshly selected meats and seafood to be grilled.

“Our renovated store is so much more than a grocery store – it’s a bistro, home and clothing store, floral shop and, most importantly, community gathering space all in one,” said Ted Balistreri, co-owner of Sendik's.

A list of events and activities for the grand opening will be announced in the coming weeks.
