A new scam is among us. There have been several reports of suspects posing as power company employees to gain access to your home and steal jewelry.

On Monday around noon, two suspects posed as power company employees and were allowed into a home in Whitefish Bay. While in the home, the suspects distracted the homeowner and stole jewelry.

One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male in his early 30s. He's approximately 160 pounds and between 5 ft. 6 in. and 5 ft. 8 in. tall.

The suspects were in a newer silver/grey SUV. Police were not given a description of the second suspect.

Other police agencies in the area have reported similar incidents recently, so the Shorewood Police Department took to Facebook to warn residents.
