Say goodbye to snowy driveways with snowplows on demand

MUSKEGO — You might not be able to own a snowplow, but you can rent one... sort of.

Say goodbye to snowy driveways and back-breaking shoveling with the introduction of apps like Plowz and Mowz, SnoHub, and Shovler.

From work or your home, you can order someone to snowplow your driveway with just a few swipes of your thumb... no matter how bad the snow is outside.

"It doesn’t matter when that snow is falling we are out there," Timothy Mack, a snowplow driver, who also owns Handy Mack's Services said.

He uses the app Plowz and Mowz. He can get at least 10 different requests from people on just an average snow day in Milwaukee.

"It will turn into a 10 hour day at least," he said.

The incentive for Mack to be on the road when everyone else is told to stay home is pretty big.

"(Profits) range from $30 to $50, $60. It depends if they order salt and sidewalk services."

There are a lot of extras that customers can tack on to make their lives easier, but then the cost rises. The cost of the most basic, no-frills, and smallest job possible on the Plowz and Mowz app was just around $40.
