The Salvation Army Chaplains are extending their support to the Milwaukee Police Department following the death of an officer Wednesday morning.
The chaplains have contacted MPD to arrange for officers who need support to receive it. They will also be present at the Medical Examiner's office.

"Since Wednesday morning, Salvation Army chaplains, led by Pastor Alexis Twito, have been at the Police Administration Building and at each district police station," said Major Steven Merritt, the Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan. "They are providing comfort, prayer, a listening ear, and a loving and calm presence."
The chaplains are among many organizations extending their help to MPD following this tragic day.
