KENOSHA — Authorities are working to determine the circumstances behind a written threat discovered at Salem Grade School in Kenosha County.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the school about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. School administrators sent an email alert to parents about 9:45 a.m. explaining their decision for the lockdown.

"The children are currently in good care with their teachers in their respective classrooms," the alert said. Our team on scene says that the lockdown was lifted moments ago.
