The dog named Ruthie saved by Glendale police and MADACC last month is recovering wonderfully, according to a post on the police department's Facebook page.
Ruthie was rescued after officers found her as she appeared to be malnourished. The GPD teamed up with MADACC to rehab Ruthie and help find her a new home.
The post said her medical diagnosis has not changed, but she is feeling better and in higher spirits.
“Between the love she is getting at home and the help from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) Ruthie is doing great!!” the post said.
Police found her near Silver Spring Drive and Milwaukee River Parkway last month.
