The Glendale Police Department announced the passing of their retired K9, Boomer, Monday.
Boomer was a 12-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix. He passed away earlier on Monday.
Boomer served the department from 2009 through 2018, and received numerous awards in that time.
He became a house pet for his partner Glendale Police Sgt. Guse upon his retirement.
