LOS ANGELES --  A Milwaukee-area man is reportedly being held by authorities in California after he traveled there to act on disturbing online threats against singer Miley Cyrus.

Milwaukee Police contacted both police and sheriff's deputies in Los Angeles after someone notified them about concerning social media posts, a department spokesperson told TODAY'S TMJ4. MPD notified those local authorities the man may be in Los Angeles.

The man's Facebook page shows he posted about a "horrific act" that would be on the news. He also made mention to "getting rid of Liam," apparently a reference to Cyrus' boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth.

One post read: "I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE MOST BEATIFUL SINGER ON THE PLANET WHOM I WILL BE WITH TOMORROW. I'M SICK OF VISITING HER IN SPIRT ... SHE ACTUALLY JUMPS INTO MY BODY.."

TMZ reported the West Allis man was eventually found Monday in LA after posting:

"TO CREATE A NEW WORLD I HAVE THE MOST HORRIFIC ACT I MOST COMPLETE. IT WILL BE ON THE NEWS AND IT IS SAD,” and, "I GOT YOUR ADDRESS LIKE YOU INSISTED. I KNOW WHICH WAY TO ENTER."

Older posts simply said: "I love you Miley."

Neighbors who did not want to be identified say the man told them he was romantically involved with Cyrus.

"They're already married that's what he said," said an unidentified West Allis neighbor.

Some of them took what he had to say as a joke.

"They got married right after she became Hannah Montana," said an unidentified West Allis neighbor.

But a former landlord says in the past, the man has talked about "getting ready for the revolution."

Police also had to be called after the man kicked in a neighbor's door and pulled fire alarms.

Facebook friends asked if the man was okay before he left.

In one of his final posts, he said: "im ok i just have so much responsibility ahead of me"

Celebrity news website TMZ.com reports the man was located on Monday and taken into custody for psychological evaluation. MPD added that the "incident is believed to be mental health related."

It's unclear if Cyrus was aware of the posts, TMZ says.
